Grass Roots and Cowboy Boots (GRCB) is the largest annual fundraising event held for the Prince County Hospital Foundation.  What began as an idea for a dinner has expanded to include a live auction, guest speakers and entertainment – an event that has exceeded everyone’s expectations ten-fold.  The event has grown from a fundraiser in concept to a community gathering not to be missed.

Guests will be treated to an evening filled with music and laughter at one of the largest fundraising events on PEI this fall. Entertainment will include Patrick Ledwell, Catherine MacLellan, Laurel Drake, and Neon Moon, among others. The ticket price of $100.00 includes a lobster and steak dinner, music, comedy, live auction and a chance to win a new Jeep Wrangler Sport courtesy of Summerside Chrysler Dodge!

From the volunteers who serve the meal to the organizers who sell tickets and arrange entertainment, many people make this event possible.  They all have a unified goal in mind – supporting their hospital.  Thanks to the many sponsors, volunteers and supporters, every dollar raised from Grass Roots and Cowboy Boots supports the purchase of medical equipment at the Prince County Hospital.  Over the course of 8 years, this event has raised $4,174,935.00 for PCH.

Each year since 2009, over 1,200 attendees have poured into Eastlink Arena at Credit Union Place for this event.  They rave about the food and entertainment, bid on auction items and relax as their counterparts in the communities come forth to support their hospital.  And support they do!  Gifts of all sizes come to our stage for presentation.

None of this would be possible without the continued support of the Ellis family – Warren, Marlene and their sons Josh and Brody, as well as their many friends and business associates.  Without their organization and financial support –including new vehicles to give away – the event would not be as grand as it has become.
