Alpaca Afternoons Drop-In – Meet the Herd

Wednesday, July 15, 2026 - Saturday, July 18, 2026
1:00 PM to 4:30 PM

Get to know our alpacas by name and personality - who's curious, who's bossy, and who's always angling for a treat.

Don't have time for a full behind-the-scenes tour?  Stop in on a Wednesday or Saturday afternoon anytime between 1–4 pm, and soak up the gentle rhythm of life at Green Gable Alpacas.

Wander through the farm’s open areas, watch our alpacas grazing in the fields, and trace the path from raw fleece to richly dyed yarn. Each week brings a new theme to explore, from fibre facts to feeding time, with our friendly team on hand to answer questions, share stories, and offer a window into life on a working fibre farm.

Admission: $12 per person with advance booking, or $15 at the door. Children under 2 are free. Reservations are encouraged but not required — just bring your curiosity, comfy shoes, and a love of all things alpaca.

What to Expect

Alpaca Afternoons is a relaxed, self-guided experience offered Wednesdays and Saturdays in July and August, featuring a rotating weekly theme. Unlike our Tales of the Twist behind-the-scenes tour, these afternoons are casual and unstructured — perfect for those who prefer to explore at their own pace. Similar to all our offerings, this is not a petting zoo experience.

This event is offered rain or shine so dress for the weather when you plan your visit.

Please leave your pets elsewhere as we have no shade parking and pets are not permitted on the farm. Service animals are welcome in our shop but not permitted elsewhere on the property.

All minor children must be escorted by a paying adult.
