The exhibit coming up is “SSTA: 100 ans à célébrer / Celebrating 100 years”. The official opening will be on September 20th and participants need to reserve in advance because of size restrictions. It’ll be there up to October 21st. It will cover a resume of the 100 years of the Société Saint-Thomas-d’Aquin, which has been an important organization representing all Acadian and francophone Islanders. Then, the Pointe-aux-Vieux exhibit will be going up and will probably be accessible to the public starting the first week of November, exhibit opening date to be determined. This exhibit features the archaeological dig that took place for a number of years at Low Point between Tyne Valley and Birch Hill. This exhibit has already been shown but many new discoveries have been made and added since then and with the 300th anniversary of the arrival of the Acadian and French people on Prince Edward Island, it was thought this would be the ideal moment to show this.
