Indian River’s Historic St. Mary’s Church was designed by Island
Architect William Critchlow Harris and built by Island carpenter
Nathan McFarlane in 1902. The rib-vaulted ceiling and the
building’s fir, pine, spruce, maple, and birch interior combine
to elevate sound quality to an exceptional level – beckoning
performers of all genres to experience its splendour. St. Mary’s
remains the architectural and acoustic treasure that William Harris
envisioned. The perfect setting for voice and instruments
to celebrate wonderful music.
