Acadian Museum of PEI

Step into 300 years of Island Acadian history at the Acadian Museum of Prince Edward Island. Located in the heart of Miscouche, this vibrant museum invites visitors to follow the remarkable journey of the Acadian people from 1720 to the present day. Explore permanent and rotating exhibitions filled with historical paintings, videos, artifacts, and personal stories that reflect the resilience and cultural pride of PEI’s Acadian community.

Learn about the first Acadian settlers on Isle Saint-Jean, their challenges under French and British rule, and the cultural revival that shaped modern-day Acadian society. The museum’s permanent exhibition, Island Acadians: A Community and Its History, includes over 100 artifacts and interpretation panels that bring this heritage to life.
