The Lefurgey Cultural Centre

The Lefurgey Cultural Centre is a beautifully restored 1867 Gothic Revival home that forms part of the Wyatt Heritage Properties in Summerside. Once known as the Lefurgey family’s “Bonny Castle,” the house is now a vibrant hub for local culture and heritage.

Visitors can explore changing art exhibits, browse the onsite gift shop (which also sells tickets to the nearby Wyatt House Museum), and enjoy homemade ice cream and rhubarb punch on the wraparound veranda during the summer months. The Centre hosts a variety of programming throughout the year, from heritage education and culinary events to school tours, concerts, and hands-on workshops.

Rich in both architectural beauty and community history, Lefurgey is home to Culture Summerside, the city’s arts and heritage division. The Centre also serves as a cozy rental venue for small private functions.

Whether you’re here for the history, the art, or just a taste of something sweet, Lefurgey offers a uniquely Summerside experience in a setting that’s as welcoming as it is historic.
