Wyatt Historic House Museum

Step inside one of PEI’s most captivating historic homes.

Built in 1867, the Wyatt House Museum offers a rare glimpse into the private lives of a wealthy Summerside family across two centuries. With its original furnishings, personal artifacts, and a compelling mix of family stories—some even ghostly—it’s considered one of the most impressive historic house collections in Eastern Canada.

This beautifully preserved Edwardian-era home was lived in by three generations of the Wyatt family, including Wanda Wyatt, who remained in the house until her passing in 1998 at the age of 102. Guests like three Canadian Prime Ministers were once welcomed through these doors.

Guided tours offer a rich and intimate experience, filled with stories of architecture, Island politics, personal triumphs, and tragedy. You'll explore room after room filled with antiques, curiosities, and atmosphere—right down to the pine floors cut from ship masts.

A visit to the Wyatt House Museum is more than just a walk through history—it’s a story you can step into.
