About

The history of Alberton at the Alberton Museum & Eileen Oulton Genealogy Centre, located in the town's historic 1878 courthouse on Church Street. Recognized as both a National Historic Site and a Provincial Historic Site, the museum features exhibits, photographs, and artifacts that tell the story of Alberton and the surrounding region. It is also home to the West Prince Genealogy Centre, where visitors can explore local family history and genealogical records.

Open seasonally from June to September, the museum welcomes visitors of all ages, with admission by donation.

Located next door, the Alberton Arts & Heritage Centre hosts community events, exhibitions, and performances, while also serving as a regional visitor information centre.
