The story of Prince Edward Island's most famous crop at the Canadian Potato Museum in O'Leary. Home to the world's largest collection of potato-related farming equipment, the museum explores the history of potato farming on PEI through interactive exhibits, agricultural artifacts, and displays highlighting the Island's farming heritage.
Outside, visitors can pose for a photo beside the world's largest potato sculpture before browsing the Potato Blossom Boutique for Island-made gifts, souvenirs, and the museum's popular potato fudge. The on-site PEI Potato Country Kitchen serves locally inspired favourites, including baked potatoes, chowders, lobster rolls, and other classic Island dishes.
Be sure to visit the attached Antique Farm Machinery Museum or take part in a seasonal working farm tour for a behind-the-scenes look at modern potato farming. Open daily from May through October, the Canadian Potato Museum offers a fun and informative experience for visitors of all ages.
