Canadian Potato Museum & Antique Farm Machinery Museum

The Canadian Potato Museum in O’Leary is a one-of-a-kind destination celebrating Prince Edward Island’s most iconic crop. Home to the world’s largest exhibit of potato-related farming equipment, this engaging museum also features interactive displays on local agricultural history, the Malpeque potato’s global fame, and the region’s early community life.

Step outside to snap a photo with the world’s largest potato sculpture, then head into the Potato Blossom Boutique to pick up Island-made gifts, souvenirs, and their signature potato fudge. When hunger strikes, enjoy a locally inspired lunch at the PEI Potato Country Kitchen, where baked potatoes, chowders, lobster rolls, and classic PEI dishes are served fresh daily in the dining room or screened patio.

Don’t miss a visit to the attached Antique Farm Machinery Museum, or join a working farm tour (available Tuesdays and Thursdays from late June through early October) for an unforgettable behind-the-scenes look at potato farming in action.

From educational displays to comfort food and quirky photo ops, the Canadian Potato Museum offers a uniquely PEI experience that’s fun for all ages. Open daily from May to October.
