Holman’s Heritage Suites

Holman’s Heritage Suites offers a truly historic stay in the heart of downtown Summerside. Located in the Holman Homestead, a landmark property originally built in 1854 as a parsonage, the home was later purchased by Robert Tinson (RT) Holman, one of Prince Edward Island’s most prominent businessmen—fondly remembered as PEI’s "merchant prince." His wife, Ellen Holman, designed what are believed to be North America's oldest heritage gardens, which still surround the property today.

Restored with care and heritage sensitivity, Holman’s Heritage Suites features three fully furnished suites designed for extended stays. Each suite combines historic charm with modern comfort and includes all the amenities you need to feel at home. Whether you’re here for business, leisure, or a longer Island visit, you’ll find a suite that suits your needs and exceeds your expectations.

The property is also home to the beloved Holman’s Ice Cream Parlour, one of PEI’s favourite summer destinations. Just steps from Summerside’s waterfront boardwalk, shops, and attractions like Spinnaker’s Landing and The College of Piping, Holman’s Heritage Suites is your ideal home base for exploring the best of the Island with history and hospitality at its heart.
