Located along the Bideford River, the museum is housed in a historic 1930s building that once served as one of Canada's first federal oyster research laboratories.
Exhibits explore the history of shellfish harvesting and aquaculture on PEI, from traditional harvesting methods to the development of the internationally recognized Malpeque oyster.
